Customer information after fire at MM-Eerbeek –
cartonboard supply secured
Dear Customer!
On Saturday, the 17th of April, a fire broke out at the Mayr-Melnhof Eerbeek cartonboard mill, Netherlands. The fire fighting measures were lasting until the next day. The investigations to find the cause of the fire started already during the weekend.
The first status about the situation of the mill is as follows:
- Board machine 1 is undamaged.
- Board machine 3 is undamaged.
- The power station is intact.
- The central stock-preparation could be saved.
- The function of the coating departments will still be checked.
- The finishing department inclusive the packing line and the raw material
sheds are in parts damaged completely.
Dear customer, we have already tried to get in contact with you during the weekend and we sincerely assure you that we are doing our utmost to secure the cartonboard deliveries to you. Each employee and the whole MM Team will give their best day and night to maintain the service.
We will keep you informed regarding further planning and status of the reconstruction and the production start of the mill by separate written information on a regular basis.
