Energy Management

MM Karton is always striving to improve the energy efficiency and to reduce specific costs. Therefore, the MM Karton plants are regulated by the ISO 50001 certification and are aligned successively certified under this standard. Consistent energy management based on a set of key performance indicators (KPI) in the past led to a significant reduction of specific energy costs, greenhouse gases and other emissions and is consistently continued and optimized. The effects of the implemented projects are continually documented.

The ISO 50001 standard is a systematic approach to optimize an international benchmark for the delivery to measure the benefits and consumption of energy in industrial, commercial and institutional businesses, as well as to monitor the progress, or to capture additional energy savings potential. The introduction of this standard is set by the EU Energy Efficiency Directive and must be implemented through the creation of ISO-compliant documents in the near future.
