ISO 9001

Mayr-Melnhof Karton was one of the first companies in the cartonboard industry to introduce a quality management system according to the international standard ISO 9001 and to be awarded certification for it. This was back in 1990.

Meanwhile, all mills of the cartonboard division are certified. However, the internal workings of this mill are also based on the MM group’s tried and tested quality management standard.

In addition to the internal advantages of a quality management system – efficient procedures and processes, defined implementing regulations and, above all, continual further development – customer satisfaction is our main priority. It is our utmost objective to guarantee our customers consistent product quality and application-oriented product solutions at maximum levels of delivery certainty.

For us, quality management starts with marketing and market research in order to establish customer demands and to allow this information to be included in production at a later stage. Our suppliers are also integrated in this process: this allows us to react quickly, innovatively and pro-actively to new demands. We claim to be “best in the business”: continual and integrated quality management are the means to this end.
