ISO 14001

As a manufacturing company MM Karton assumes its responsibility towards the environment and can look back on a long tradition in environmental protection. Certification of the mills according to the international standard ISO 14001 has begun in 1996.

ISO 14001 is a globally applicable standard for environmental management systems with the objective of systematically anchoring environmental protection in management. Legal requirements and information on essential environmental aspects are largely honoured in the process. The relevance of the environment and the social responsibility are thus also strongly anchored in corporate policies.

The mills at Frohnleiten, Hirschwang, Deisswil and Eerbeek have obtained ISO 14001 certificates. In order to safeguard the high environmental standards now achieved and to meet new requirements regular internal audits and external inspections are performed.

The mills that are not yet certified, however, also run internal systems for environmental protection and continuous improvement and use the synergies of the certified sites in the same manner.
